Yin & Yang Workshop

Embark on a profound journey of balance and harmony with Maxine’s Yin and Yang Workshop. Over the course of two immersive hours, you will explore the dynamic interplay between Yin and Yang energies, unlocking new dimensions of strength, flexibility, and inner peace.

During the Yin portion of the workshop, you will delve deep into passive poses, allowing for a meditative and introspective experience. Through long-held stretches, you will release tension, cultivate mindfulness, and promote the flow of energy throughout your body.

Transitioning into the Yang phase, you will engage in dynamic and active movements, igniting your inner fire and building strength and vitality. This energetic practice will invigorate your body and mind, leaving you feeling empowered and revitalized.

 

NEW Thai Yoga Massage Treatment...

Our New Yoga treatment of Thai Yoga Massage is based on the energy line system (the Ten Sen) through which the body’s energy life force travels.These channels can block, causing many symptoms.Our therapist will us her hands, feet and elbows to apply firm pressure to specific areas on energy lines, and together with gentle stretching and movement.<spanclass=”Apple-converted-space”> 

Doing this type of movement has been shown to help clear these blockages, letting energy flow, and muscle tension is released.

This type of applied therapy can help manage many common everyday complaints such as headache, knee pain, back, shoulder and neck pain.  Regular treatments can help keep these symptoms under control.

It can also help to manage the effects of stress, boost energy levels and manage mood.  

Unlike traditional Deep Tissue massage, Thai yoga massage works to release tension in the muscles by taking the body through a series of passive stretches and achieving space and movement in your muscles and joints that cannot be achieved in any other way, and will leave you feeling AMAZING.

Yoga as individual as you are, you will encouraged to listen to your body and given lots of options to grow your practice. Great class for beginners.

In this class, we will take you through mindful flows and some holding postures. Focusing on foundation and alignment to safely prepare you for more challenging postures later on.
Finish your day in the best way: stretching, bending and breathing. This 60 minute class will help you relieve stress in your body and mind. Through feel-good hip openers, back-bends, twists and various yoga poses you will release blocked energy from your muscles and joints to find a sense of lightness and freedom.

This Flow style practice is a flowing sequence of asanas (poses). A strong connection between breath and movement creates a moving meditation to relax the mind while energizing the body. Classes may be faster or slower paced depending on the instructor. Props may be used for support. Hatha Flow builds strength, concentration, confidence, and flexibility. Classes are suitable for all levels, but some yoga experience is helpful.

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐃𝐎 𝐈 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓?

One of the most often questions I get asked is “which class would be suitable for me?”
While we do have a great selection of various classes that would be at a level that most beginners would be comfortable in, we think the answer is pretty simple – our class 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡

A class designed for our absolute beginners. This class is also perfect if you would just like a simpler class, returning to a yoga practice or it is your first time and just want to see what yoga is all about.

This class will cover a few basic postures and get you used to common cues. Through this practice you will develop the confidence to join in with other classes. Each week, we will combine static poses with a gentle flow and breath work, and always end with a relaxation session.

So, if you have thought about giving yoga a go, and would like a simple way to make your way on to the mat, or perhaps it has simply been a while, and you would like to ease your way in gently, then perhaps 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡 is the class for you


Yin Yoga is a much slower way to practice Yoga. Working more with ligaments, tendons, and blood vessels the body is encouraged into certain positions. The long holds of each pose are much like a meditation practice, encouraging you to look inwards and bring your attention to your breath, allowing you to enjoy moments of calm and tranquillity. It’s a deeply introspective experience, drawing the senses within as the temperature outside falls. It’s almost like diving under a duvet and finding solace under the covers (intimately connecting with our inner sensations).

Similarly to acupuncture, practising yin yoga can also improve the flow of energy (or ‘chi’) around the body, removing any blockages. This may help to bring balance to the body and internal organs through the ‘meridians’ such as the kidneys, liver and bladder meridians. It may also help to reduce stress and improve general physical wellbeing.

A private session allows for a more intimate view into YOUR practice. You can start a new practice, deepen your current practice or spend some time working on a specific goal or concern. The sessions are tailored specifically to meet your individual needs, whatever they may be, and support you one to one. Taking a one-off, or a series of private yoga sessions is an investment for your personal growth and health.

Join us for weekly Sunday morning meditations appropriate for all levels of practitioners. This is a peaceful way to start your Sunday, and a good opportunity to practice with a group and get your questions answered.The sessions include useful tools and tips to help you develop a meditation practice of your own. No previous yoga experience is necessary, no special clothing or mats needed. Just arrive, take a spot and enjoy the session.

In this Stretch and Move class, we will take you through mindful flows and some holding postures. Focusing on foundation and alignment to safely prepare you for more challenging postures later on. We encourage you to turn inwards, draw intentionality into your practice and recognise your strength while maintaining the ability to be soft. Find your inner light within your depth, be playful and curious, and increasing aerobic fitness so you can let go of all that you need to release in this class


Using a combination of yoga-inspired postures, breathing, and relaxation techniques along with massage and equipment such as yoga balls, the classes are designed to foster a magical connection with your baby as well as strengthening the body, relaxing the mind for birth and alleviate some of the discomforts of pregnancy.

The classes are relaxed providing techniques that can be used not only during pregnancy but also during that special time just before meeting your new arrival and even your post-natal healing. Providing an opportunity to meet other like-minded mums-to-be.

Restorative Yoga is with Hot Stones. Our classes can be useful to help reset your body and mind, whether you are nursing sore muscles or a hangover, rehabilitating an injury or illness, or simply looking to chill out on a Sunday night.

This slow-moving and laid-back class consists of longer holds (3 to 10 minutes) of uncomplicated positions to allow time for the body to soften and the mind to quiet. This enables the body to switch over from the fight-flight mode to relaxation. We use blankets, bricks, and bolsters to support the body, to encourage relaxation.

During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body respond which may result in great benefits. A few of the measurable results of relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure and the improvement of immune function, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination, and the reduction of muscle tension and general fatigue.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful relaxation method. Used for centuries for relaxation, clarity, and emotional release, this “rest” for both the mind and body is said to offer the equivalent of 2hrs deep sleep.

After a few, slow stretches, the body is encouraged into a comfortable laying position and invited into relaxation. The method travels the mind through different brain wave states, where deep rest and deep nourishment are possible.

This practice will be tailored to the individual, helping with specific sleep problems, anxiety relief, self-confidence, and self-esteem, or anything that the individual would like to work on. The benefits of this practice spill over into daily life and the results continue to work after the session has finished.
